I could not believe it when my dad pulled up out front in his new metallic grey and black stripped 2009 Saleen Mustang. Sure I had seen his 2007, 302 big blocks Mustang when he drove that home new but what blew me away that day was when dad got out of his new beast and through me the keys to his old one. My heart stopped, had I read this gesture correctly? Perhaps he was just toying with me; he had never let me drive his Mustang before. But he told me to jump in to my new car and he would drive my other heap down to the dealer to get what we could for it. It was such a thrill and rush to drive dad’s old car but the excitement grew as I realized this was now mine. A 2 year old Saleen Mustang all for me, it was lucky I didn’t crash it into a tree or something because I was so nervous and shaking with adrenaline.

Dad had given me the sterling silver Mustang that you can see advertised around the Detroit area and on the Mustang car commercials. I can tell you from experience that the commercials are not exaggeration the experience it is to drive a Mustang. I try not to spoil myself by driving it every day so the thrill will stay with me for a long time to come. Every now and again I thank dad for this exceptional gift and slyly ask him when he is going to get the next model. They still look incredible just like the original mustangs of the 70’s and the retro look just adds value to the charm and looks of the car. There are now supercharged model and a variety of dazzling colors to chose from, so if you are not as lucky as me and won’t be given a Mustang for some random reason then you should check out your local dealer who can inform you of all the latest deals in the yard.

Would I give my left arm for a Saleen Mustang?

Have you seen the you tube video of the 900 horse power, twin turbo saleen mustang that tears up the highway at about 180 miles per hour. There is a machine that could make you wet your pants with one good unsuspecting rev. The wheel spin out of control creating a cloud of rubbery smoke as the car shots off down the road. This is one of the best muscle cars that the United States has produced recently and should be considered in becoming one of our future classic cars. Even if that is because they just look so tough with their flare guards, spoilers, mag wheels and bonnet scoop air intake. Originally the mustang was rolled off the production line in 1970. One of the first custom muscle cars was the 1985 saleen mustang that had a new generation of body shape however this new shape did not last long and the saleen mustang was later remodeled closely back to the original shape to the gratitude of the original mustang lovers.

The saleen mustang was designed as a sports performance vehicle which contained a big block V8 engine to maximize power output. Inside the car there is the option to customize you dash board, customized leather seats with mustang written on them and just about any other modifications you wanted to make to individualize this beast of a vehicle for your own personal satisfaction. It is used in the new TV show Knight Rider where the car can transform itself into a standard kick ass saleen mustang or the pepped up out of this world attack vehicle that looks more like a space ship rather than a muscle car. For a super car the saleen mustang will set you back around the US$50,000 to US$90,000 mark depending on the customization you are looking for. But believe me, once you have test driven this vehicle you will fall in love with any of the models that the saleen mustang has been produced in.

I Love My 2008 Saleen Mustang

I have always loved sports cars. Even when I was still just a little boy and couldn’t drive yet, I still had pictures of sports cars all over my room. When people ask why I have always loved sports cars so much, I tell them that there is not a clear cut answer to that question. If I could summarize my love of sports cars into a single statement, I would do it for you, but the truth of the matter is that there are simply so many different things that I love about sports cars that it would be impossible to summarize my feelings in a single statement. From the raw power that sports cars possess to the freedom they offer to the sleek look of their styling, I could go on all day about what I like about sports cars.

Since I have always loved sports cars so much, it should come as no surprise that I have always owned one. From my first car to my current car, I have always found a way to own a sports car. Obviously, now that I have a family, a sports car isn’t the only vehicle that I can own, but I have always worked out a way to fill my need for a sports car and my family’s need for reliable transportation.

My most recent sports car is my 2008 Saleen Mustang. If you have ever seen a Saleen Mustang (and if you haven’t, use your computer to look up some pictures of this vehicle), you know just how good it looks, so it should come as no surprise to you that I love driving around town in mine (which is a gun metal gray).
